Hydro-Quebec
Rapide-Des-Iles generating station

 

HMI has been mandated to repair the spillway of the Rapides-des-Iles dam. The work involves design, supply and installation of new gates and embedded parts for the 3 sluice ways. This project is located 112 km south of Rouyn-Noranda in the municipality of Saint-Eugene-De-Guigues. The project began in January 2011 and is expected to last one year.

Stave Falls Dam

 

During the summer of 2010, HMI was successful in obtaining the mandate from BC Hydro for the spillway upgrade work at the Stave Falls site (Blind slough dam).  The project consists in the replacement of four radial gates, their embedded guides, and replacing the existing chain hoists with hydraulic hoists and new walkways. The project should be completed around fall 2012.

 

 

 

Hydro-Quebec
Du Rocher de Grand-Mere
generating station

 

Hydro-Quebec awarded us the mandate to repair the three spillway gates of the Rocher-de-Grand-Mere generating station. The work consists in installing on the spillway gate downstream side, steel enclosures including insulation, the electrical work required to control the air heaters as well as replacing the gate sealing joints. This project should be completed by the end of 2011.

Terzaghi dam

 

Most of the mechanical work at the Terzaghi dam, close to Lillooet, British Columbia in is almost completed. HMI is actually proceeding with the all the final electrical connections as well as the connection of various peripheral equipments. The project should be completed by the end of fall 2011.

Cheakamus dam

 

As for the Terzaghi dam, most of the mechanical work at the Cheakamus dam is almost completed. HMI is actually proceeding with the all the final electrical connections as well as the connection of various peripheral equipments. The project should be completed by the end of spring 2011.

Seton dam

 

As for the other two project of Phase 1, most of the mechanical work at the Seton dam is almost completed. HMI is proceeding with the all the final electrical connections as well as the connection of various peripheral equipments. The project should be completed by the end of summer 2011.

 

 

 

Hydro-Quebec
Paugan generating station

 

HMI is pursuing its mandate for the modernisation project for the controls of (7) seven turbine-generator sets at the Paugan hydroelectric generating station. This 202 MW plant owned by Hydro Quebec is located close to the municipality of Low, in the Outaouais region of Quebec.

The project was initiated in spring 2010 and will be realised during the next (4) four years.

Beauharnois generating station

 

HMI has been active since 1995 on the rehabilitation of the headgates and hoists, as well as the draftube gates of the Beauharnois hydroelectric station.  Actually working under phase 4, the present mandate should be completed around 2011.
