Designed for processing Radiata (Monterrey) Pine, the complex consists mainly of a sawmill, 5 kilns and a remanufacturing facility. A boiler, fed with green bark and sawdust residues from the sawmill, generates steam to heat the kilns.
Main equipment, namely complete sawline, boiler, kilns and remanufacturing machinery, was purchased in Canada. Electrical and civil engineering, building design and fabrication, some auxiliary equipment purchases and construction management were performed locally in Chile.
