The CIPP project consisted in the installation of a pilot Pulp & Paper production line reproducing the entire paper making process for research and teaching purposes at a University in Trois-Rivières, QC.
Starting from the bark bleaching plant, the refining process, the whitening process and pulp storage, and finishing with the complete paper machine from the wet end right through the calendar and winder.
Part of the equipment installed by HMI had to be dismantled and moved from existing facilities. The complete paper machine was dismantled from a research centre in Watertown, NY and was reinstalled in Trois-Rivières.
