Complete P&P plant for teaching purposes

The CIPP project consisted in the installation of a pilot Pulp & Paper production line reproducing the entire paper making process for research and teaching purposes at a University in Trois-Rivières, QC.

Complete process installation

Starting from the bark bleaching plant, the refining process, the whitening process and pulp storage, and finishing with the complete paper machine from the wet end right through the calendar and winder.

Intergrated components installation

Part of the equipment installed by HMI had to be dismantled and moved from existing facilities. The complete paper machine was dismantled from a research centre in Watertown, NY and was reinstalled in Trois-Rivières.

The challenge

  • Complete in a very tight schedule the installation of process equipments for tutorial purposes, in a context where many technical modifications were required to insure the adaptation. of existing equipment in a new facility.
  • Dismantle and reassemble a complete paper machine in New York.

The result

  • The project was completed and delivered on time, maintaining a total integrity between the equipments and the quality of execution.
